Technical Meeting in ficonTEC | Achim

The 17th December 2018, iQonic consortium gathered to visit ficonTEC facilities in Achim, Germany.

FiconTEC is part of iQonic project and is fulfilling the role of technology provider. The company has wide experience with photonics assembly and testing processes and it is supporting the project in the design of a reconfigurable process chain and in the developement of a new type of handling tool interface for optoelectronic assembly processes.

The agenda of the day included an introduction into ficonTEC, a guided tour through the assembly hall of the campany and a final open technical discussion among the partners.

The visit was an interesting occasion to see the architecture and the key processes of opto-electronics assembly systems of ficonTEC. Moreover, project partners had the opportunity to discuss on more concrete and operational issues regarding use cases requests and hardware, software and interfaces solution to be provided by ficonTEC.
