Technical Meeting in Prima Electro | Moncalieri, Torino
The iQonic technical meetings continue: on February 26th iQonic partners met in Moncalieri (Italy) to visit Prima Electro S.p.A.
Prima Electro is a division of the PRIMA INDUSTRIE Group which is a worldwide leader in the field of the laser machinery for the metal sheet cutting and welding applications in 2D and 3D. PE supplies the Group with the laser source for the laser machines and the proper NC. Moreover, Prima Electro is investing in a new diode fab in Italy to include the production of diodes in its processes. Given its role of end-user in the project, PE will lead the respective use-case to their premises providing access to the production infrastructure.
At the meeting, Mr. Paoletti, PE Senior Manager, illustrated partners the history, machine types and the R&D work at PE and provided them with a technical introduction, showing concepts, mechanical designs, software and application of the PE production. Afterwards, partners had the opportunity to visit the HQ AND Tech Center (HQTC).
These technical visits are allowing technical providers to understand better how to tackle end-users’ challenges such as reduction of cycle time, component cost, improvement of defect repair phase and the disassembly, remanufacturing and reuse of components.
Partners will come together again on March 18th in Tortolì (Italy) for the technical meeting in Filar-OptoMaterials (FOM).
